Janet approaches her work with charisma, optimism, and high expectations. She has served the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years, with executive experience in resource development and management. A respected fundraising and strategic planning consultant in both the arts and health and human service, she is sought out by leaders who desire inspirational, realistic, people-focused plans for growth and change and a best practices fundraising approach that brings those plans to life.
Building on her career as an executive at nonprofit organizations including the Dallas Theater Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation, United Way of America, and the Dallas Symphony Association, she is honored to have served clients such as Kitchen Dog Theater, Lone Star Circus Arts, Second Thought Theater, North Carolina Stage Company, Encore Park Dallas, Water Tower Theater, Camp Summit, Parkland Health and Hospital System Foundation, North Texas Food Bank, and The Salvation Army DFW Area Command. Janet earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan following her graduation from Phillips Academy Andover. She has served her community as Vice President of the Board of the Dallas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a member of the board of the Lake Highlands High School PTA and a member of the Past Presidents’ Advisory Committee for the Dallas Chapter of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. Her family includes three remarkable teenagers and husband/business partner, Wyatt. Janet is a competitive triathlete, having completed her first half- ironman distance race in 2016.
Wyatt is a founding principal of Clarkson Davis. Drawn to imagining what is possible, he keeps his eyes on what’s next for clients and the nonprofit industry as a whole, always exploring new concepts, designing alternate approaches, and building better models and methods. An outstanding facilitator, he focuses on partnering with clients to envision, plan, and implement innovative strategies and services.
An early career placement in the Arthur Andersen Business Consulting Nonprofit Industry Group launched Wyatt’s love for the consulting profession and gave him the opportunity to work in the nonprofit industry with a for-profit perspective. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University. Wyatt is a long-term Carter BloodCare donor and a certified private pilot who also enjoys cycling, visual astronomy, and playing guitar.
